Luis F. Leon is a partner in the Tax & Business Services division of the Firm’s New York City Office and is the leader of the Firm’s Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPAC) Group. Luis’ specific expertise is in federal, state, and local corporate taxes.

He assists clients with services involving accounting for income taxes, consolidated returns, tax controversy, and cross border transactions. He works in numerous industries including financial services, professional firms, and Hi-Tech, among others.

Prior to joining Marcum in 2018, Luis worked in the private sector as the AVP of Tax at a global professional services firm where he led the tax operations of the Americas. He also worked in Big Four public accounting firms for six years. His background includes tax consulting services for multinational companies, audit resolutions, and BPO operations in multiple countries in LATAM.
