Samuel Scherr is a tax partner in the Alternative Investment Industry Group in the Firm’s Rockville, Maryland office. Samuel has over 12 years of experience and specializes in partnership taxation of asset management clients, focusing on the private equity, venture capital, and fund of funds space.

Samuel works closely with investment partnerships, their General Partners, and management companies to achieve their tax goals. He is a trusted advisor whose knowledge spans partnership taxation and international, state, and local tax compliance.

Before joining Marcum in 2023, Samuel spent over 11 years at a “Big 4” accounting firm where he concentrated on their asset and wealth management practice.
