About Ruchita

Ruchita Shah is a partner in Marcum’s Costa Mesa office within the Firm’s Advisory Services Group. She applies her knowledge of forensic accounting to support litigation pertaining to complex family law matters. Ruchita is qualified to testify as an expert witness in Northern and Southern California and has extensive expertise assisting counsel with mediation, court hearings, depositions, and expert witness testimony at trial.

Ruchita supports clients in marital dissolution proceedings by analyzing gross cash flow available for support and marital estate division, including tracing of separate property claims and identification of undisclosed assets. She is also experienced in post-separation accounting, real property apportionment, allocation of stock-based equity compensation, and business valuations using discount rates, premiums, and complex financial models. Additionally, Ruchita collaborates on legal positions and applicable case law in preparing pre/post nuptial agreements. She serves as the current chair of the CalCPA Forensic Services Section for the Orange County/Long Beach chapter.
