About Mark

Mark Simurda joined Marcum in 2022 via the Firm’s merger with LTSP, Inc., a full-service accounting firm in Orange County, CA. Based in the Firm’s Costa Mesa office, Mark is a partner in the tax and business services department.

As tax partner, Mark focuses on complex tax issues for individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations. He is heavily experienced in researching the tax law, helping clients understand how emerging tax issues and new tax legislation will affect them and how to take advantage of planning opportunities.

Mark also has an excellent track record on representing individuals and businesses before the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities. He started as an intern and has spent his accounting career at LTSP, Inc. up until merging with Marcum. He enjoys representing the firm at local universities in connection with their accounting placement programs.
