Joseph Tarasuk is a director in Marcum’s tax department and works out of the Firm’s Hartford office. Joe’s practice focuses on advising with issues relating to corporate income tax and accounting for income taxes. He has 22 years of experience as a tax professional, which includes providing services to public and private companies alike.

Joe supports clients facing a myriad of issues (across U.S. federal, state, and international jurisdictions), relating to tax compliance, tax reporting, and tax planning. He provides services such as preparation and review of tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, preparation of tax returns and other tax compliance filings, preparation of estimated payment calculations, tax audit defense, cash tax planning, state and local tax planning, international tax planning, and tax consulting services related to complex business transactions.

Joe spent nine years in public accounting before transitioning to in-house corporate tax roles for 13 years. He served as Head of Tax at a publicly traded multinational manufacturing company for more than a decade.
