About David

David Croskey is a partner in the Firm’s Tax & Business Services Division and the former President and Founder of Croskey Lanni CPA’s of Detroit, MI area and Boca Raton, FL, which merged into Marcum in 2024. Dave leverages extensive experience in operational, administrative, and strategic matters to counsel closely held clients on leadership issues at the board and executive levels. His services cover a broad range of activities and various phases of closely held business operations, including extensive support for executives and leadership teams beyond traditional tax and accounting practices.

In any circumstance, Dave continually champions the best interests of clients and their businesses by creating awareness of evolving industry and business trends while helping identify and achieve objectives through strategic planning. In addition, he assists in the development of turnaround strategies and contributes to the resolution of highly complex matters often associated with closely held businesses, cash flow, mergers or acquisitions, and trusts, including the fiduciary concerns of trustees.

Dave works extensively with entrepreneurial executives, presidents, CFOs, and the boards of directors in the construction, real estate and development, material handling, manufacturing, professionals, insurance, and hospitality industries.

Dave has successfully founded and led two CPA Managing Partner round table groups – one local, the other national – that work with a variety of professional groups to identify, evaluate, and implement best practices.
